Xbox and Bethesda 2022 showcase in 3 minutes
This is the “Xbox and Bethesda 2022 showcase in 3 minutes”!
Full Xbox release schedule for the next year: https://global-img.gamergen.com/jeux-xbox-pc-game-pass-2022-2023_0901003692.jpg
The showcase started with an extended look at the gameplay of Redfall, which is a 4 player co-op game against vampires in the style of Left 4 Dead. The game features the usual pronounced art style of Arcane and it differs from Left 4 Dead with its abilities and classes and lack of hordes management.
Hollow Knight Silksong showed its thrilling gameplay encompassing combat and exploration, and its presence in this showcase confirms its release date to be within the next 12 months.
High on Life is a first person shooter set in a weird and funny world.
A Plague Tale Requiem End of Innocence is a third person action adventure game set in medieval times with a gameplay structure similar to The Last of Us.
The new Forza Motorsport was finally shown and it features stunning graphics, physics and simulation, as well as a very much expanded system to customize the performance of cars!
Ara History Untold was announced through a pre-rendered CGI trailer but it seems a strategy game focused on history in the vein of Civilization.
Forza Horison 5 Hotweels expansion was announced with a trailer.
Ark 2, a survival game with dinosaurs featuring Vin Diesel is set to release in 2023.
Fantasy action role-playing game Flintlock: The Siege Of Dawn is due out early 2023.
Minecraft Legends is a new game in the series based in the genre of strategy games.
Lightyear Frontier is another survival game set in an unfamiliar environment.
Gunfire Reborn is a first person shooter set in a cartoony world.
The Last Case of Benedict Fox is a new detective adventure game.
Obsidian is working on a narrative adventure called Pentiment.
Ereban: Shadow Legacy is a new stealth platform game, nice to see new stealth games pop-up.
Ravenlok is a voxel style fantasy action adventure game.
Cocoon is a platform puzzle adventure game that for some reason reminded me of Abe's Oddysee.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is an action game by Team Ninja.
And finally we got an extended look at Starfield: the game combines an emphasis on choice and consequence, role elements from older RPGs like Morrowind and Oblivion, an expanded base building inspired from Fallout 4, unbound exploration thanks to space travel and entirely surfaced planets ala No Man's Sky, and a great amount of customization for both your character and your space ship. Hopefully the most important planets will be filled with content at every corner because Todd Howard said there will be a thousand planets and I don't see each one of them being filled with content, but on the other hand if they manage this aspect in the style of Mass Effect 1 there will still be a lot of content that's worth your time in the important planets. There were a few frame rate issues and the gun play didn't look much satisfying but on paper the concept for this game looks stunning, hopefully the extra time of the delay will help.
Personal notes: for my personal taste this was one of the weakest shows from Xbox, I honestly don't think anything will soon beat E3 2018 yet, that was really amazing, but at least Xbox and Bethesda teamed up to show us Starfield and I finally got to see Forza Motorsport, I was waiting for it :) honorable mentions of my liking: Hollow Knight Silksong, Forza Horison 5 Hotweels DLC, Cocoon, oh and I also appreciated that most announcements were made out of actual gameplay footage, and also that everything is coming out through 2022 and 2023!
