Hello again.
This is the last video of mine to feature RussellSquare (MOD Warfare commentary) font, because of copycrap reasons listed on video which was the previous one.

Voice acting:
The Ally - Australian Russell TTS
Credits because they asked nicely: https://readloud.net/english/australian/48-male-voice-russell.html
The Ally's commander - myself
Doom-Yakov/The Speaker - Russian Maxim TTS
The rest of credits are in the episode's Wrap-Up

Timecodes:
00:00 - Intro
00:10 - Pre-Start custom cutscene which sets TSE's plot in motion
03:37 - Gameplay part
17:35 - Episode Wrap-Up, first half
18:22 - Custom mini-storyline: The Trinity - Act 1
27:12 - Episode Wrap-Up, second half; and outro

Here it is, XCOM 2: The Second Encounter. My second attempt at doing second XCOM.
I started thinking about re-doing second XCOM because I:
1) Wanted to do it with gameplay mods
2) Wanted to re-do some stuff which I spoiled in Season 1
3) Because I love XCOM 2

So, how different this one is going to be compared to my original XCOM 2 playthrough?
- XCOM 2 TSE has some kind of a custom-made funny cringy global plot which drives the entire thing of the series; plus new, custom-made characters
- I had to be uninspired from anything so that I could try to produce something more original than usual, be aware though because I went through borefest
- XCOM 2 TSE has mini-stories/subplots of troopers which actually can affect gameplay (but not to the point where one story = 2000 supplies, 6 scientists and 1000 elerium crystals, no; they're more of a personal ones except those directly tied with the main TSE plot)
- I promised to voice act, here you go, despite me having difficulty with that
- MOD Warfare-style commentary is present, because I didn't use commentary at all during my original playthrough; so this playthrough won't be a slog
- This series has my new, assembled out of screenshots of XCOM 2, "RPG Dialogue" box, aimed to replace my previous "Top of the screen off" one
- "RPG Dialogue" will be present in all episodes between troopers and my characters
- Custom assembled OST which changes depending on environmental conditions (cities, abandoned towns, tunnels, arid-cold-temperate-alien wastelands...): 40% chance of triggering during regular missions, with 60% triggering the regular three XCOM soundtracks; 6 tracks per ambient and per combat (double that because I count day and night environments as separate) with possibility of alternate versions for XCOM/Ethereals movement; custom OST is guaranteed to be on important missions
- True Ironman: I could reload the mission in original playthrough if glitches did make the mission unbearable; here I can reload only important missions which give game overs on their fail - not even game-breaking glitches are stopping us now
- Mod instability and crashes are given a plot point which is explained with my crappy storytelling: if I crash 4 times on a mission I have to abandon the mission unless it is an important one
- A lot of gameplay mods, also including all Season 1 mods
- Trust/friendship, romance and true understanding meters; note that I backed on my words and made romances straight only, with true understanding replacing potential bisexual ones - the reasoning behind that is complicated, sorry; max. romance chance is lowered from 10% to 5%
- Less cussing from characters to prevent Wagnerson-style barrage of profanities
- And I hope, something more

Now, who returns:
==
From everything XCOM-related:
- Meridian (he's VIP because he taught me how to play XCOM with his LPs in the first place; because I respect him and he's a real-world Let's Player, Meridian is exempt from romance and true understanding system completely)
==
From TFTD:
- The Unknown Commenter and The Unknown Watcher (both are intended to be avatars of those who, for some reason unknown to me, watch my content, so they have only true understanding meters to prevent romantic problems)
- Jasmine Cook (Zrbite Knight)
==
From Season 1 XCOM 2:
- Gerald Blizzard
==
From TFTD timeline and Enemy Unknown:
- Resolutor
==

Also, as series progress, you're gonna get this:
- Every fourth episode: an XCOM dossier on TSE-specific characters
- Every fifth episode: a log on trust, romance and true understanding meters for 5 past episodes where you can understand what's going off and to keep track on it while not having to fullscreen the video (have to do calculations and logs manually in Excel with mouse and keyboard, so this is very slow and tedious to do)
- Every tenth episode: a link to new XCOM Extended Dossiers issue for Season 1 XCOM Dossiers (that one requires editing in Word, trying to come up with a background for pages)
- After the series are done: links to the scripts for storylines and the main TSE plot

Because this series features much more effort/editing from me and I don't have that much time anymore, don't expect more than three XCOM 2 TSE episodes per month - sorry for this.

Now, let's get down to it.
