Welcome back to the channel! Apologies for the absence again but we are back with another XCOM Enemy Unknown Classic Ironman playthrough. In this Ironman playthrough of XCOM, we play two missions (with both actually being present this time) as we continue to rank up our XCOM soldiers. There are four classes, Assault, Sniper, Support, and Heavy, which we are trying to get two high levels of each. Next episode in our XCOM Enemy Unknown Ironman walkthrough, we are trying to level up soldiers and continue to put ourselves in a good position by the start of the game. About the Game:
XCOM is a turned based strategy game that was originally created and released in 1994, with the reboot, XCOM Enemy Unknown, was released in 2012 with a new twist on the series. Turn-based strategy games are those in which you move and attack in one turn, then the computer or other player retaliates once you have finished your move, similar to chess. We are playing XCOM Enemy Unknown which is the prequel to XCOM 2 and also has a very popular add on of XCOM Enemy Within. XCOM Enemy Unknown has four difficulties: Easy, Normal, Classic, Impossible (We are playing Classic); however, all are difficult and can become even more difficult with the Ironman mode enabled as well. Additionally, the focus of the game is on the single player gameplay and story, which can very in length due to having to research and upgrade soldiers in order to match the difficulty increase throughout the game. The game is a very difficult turn-based strategy game which has even spawned a new sub-genre in the category labeled as "XCOM Games" similar to Dark Souls. Overall, the game is a turn-based strategy game that involves upgrading the base and soldiers in order to counter what the computer throws at you as you move further into the game as a whole.
