I continue trying to shed my burden of shame as a classic UFO/XCOM fan who has only completed the new XCOM on normal, by playing it through on Classic Ironman.

After an enforced hiatus of over a month I return to the war for Earth, only to find I've forgotten nearly everything I know about human-on-alien warfare. As I fumble around like a lobotomised Sun Tzu that's lost both his hands in an industrial accident, Aliens launch a terror attack on the world famous "Touch a Real-Life Tank!(tm)" theme park in the city of Rosario, Argentina.

And so XCOM's A-Team go once more unto the breach without assault troopers or a medic to speak of. Two completely unproven squaddies step up to fill in the gaps, resulting a lean, mean, yellow-and-green fighting team that consists entirely of snipers and heavies. Will heavy long-range firepower be enough to win the day, or will our brave soldiers wind up choking to death on their own guts for want of a band-aid?
