I continue trying to shed my burden of shame as a classic UFO/XCOM fan who has only completed the new XCOM on normal, by playing it through on Classic Ironman.

The base gets some new facilities and a new floor, courtesy of selling whatever we can afford to that isn't nailed down. Meanwhile "Monsieur" Fournier leads the XCOM A-Squad on a sortie to his home country where an intact UFO has landed in the usual sparsely-populated area. A long-forgotten XCOM squaddie joins them to proves his worth, only to wind up teetering on the precipice of painful bloody death with the nearest XCOM medkit over 1000 km away. Finally Sectoids make a brief reappearance to remind us why they're useless and volunteer their bodies for Chinese cosmetic research.
