XCOM Enemy Within Android Multiplayer: Six Floater Gambit
0I pick six heavy floaters, knowing my opponent won't see my point total (because if they see that I spent exactly 18,000 points, they'll know I picked six 3,000 point units, which is most likely heavy floaters). I wasn't able to record the first turn unfortunately, but during that turn I just moved/launched my floaters to areas where I thought they were safe from sniper fire. As seen in the video, not all of them were safe. That's one of the reasons I hate the Boulevard map. All of the maps have this problem where if you go second, you're at a disadvantage, but it's especially pronounced on this map. Boulevard is so small that a seeker can get all the way to your troops in two moves, and if you go second, that means they can use a squadsight sniper against you and you need to use your first turn to prepare for an attack already.
Luckily I was able to launch my remaining floaters all over the map and my opponent was unable to take advantage on that turn before I was able to get my floaters in the air and hurt some of his support units. After that my opponent surrendered the match, though it might have been due to a multiplayer bug. This one could have gone either way as he still had his assault, his sniper (though wounded), a smoke jumper, and his seeker still in play.
