XCOM: Enemy Within - Episode 105 (Twisted Palace)
12th of November, 2015:
At last it appears that the mysteries surrounding Durand have become clear, the reasons the aliens wanted to capture her, the resources they were willing to expend in order to keep her. It all makes sense.
Unfortunately, regarding her captive allies, the aliens were of a mind that if they couldn't have them, then no one could. Our troops were up against the clock as the were rushed through the remains of an alien abduction ship in an effort to release the captives before they were terminated.
Surprisingly, however, despite how important their human cargo seemed to be to the aliens, they did not staff their prison-ship with particularly dangerous opponents. Our squad were able to make swift progress, eliminating the largely Thin Man guard detail with ease.
Not that I'm complaining, of course, this allowed them to release the captives with time to spare... but it leaves me wondering. Was Durand perhaps the only one they were really willing to fight for?
