Shulk's team eventually reach the heart of the Bionis, where Lorithia was waiting for them inside. She was impressed that, despite being Zanza's former vessel, Shulk was still able to live on without that god possessing his body.

She summoned the Telethia that Kallian transformed into, and mocked Melia by kissing her brother empty High Entia body... before merging with the being, herself. With this new combined form, Disciple Lorithia now sought to make Melia, Shulk, and the rest of their friends pay for their insolence against Zanza!

"Enjoy this battle, for it will be... your last!"

Suffice to say, this was THE least enjoyable boss battle I had to deal with in this game.

Lorithia likes to summon Nova enemies to give her buffs. You will have to eliminate these Nova first before you can do something to her, and these Novas are often Spiked.

The catch is everyone here is resistance to Physical attacks. You'll need to rely more on Ether attacks to do good damage.

And... it's somewhat fitting that this often means you will likely have to rely on Melia to lead this one fight against one of her own kind, thanks to her Elemental Arts.

This took me several attempts after going through different party compositions, but just go to 19:30 if you want to see me fight and finally beat Lorithia with a winning team.
----------

Lorithia was no match for the team, and exploded in a dazzling light.

Melia was left on her own within the light... where she got to see her brother, Kallian, in his original glory... one last time...

Melia was so sad about the fate of her race, but Kallian made her understand that all High Entia were born with the Telethia gene, and that escaping their fate was impossible. Their late father Sorean knew this, and conceived Melia in an effort to dilute their bloodline of this curse.

Knowing that Melia's half-Homs heritage would prevent her from transforming into a Telethia, Kallian and Sorean were proud to sacrifice themselves, just so they can allow Melia to carry on the legacy of the High Entia. Right now, Kallian wanted Melia to focus on helping Shulk and the rest of their friends defeat Zanza.

Kallain then went onward to inflict Lorithia with the same curse she was thought to be immune from, killing both of them in the process, and leaving Melia as the hope of the High Entia.

None of her friends heard of Kallian's last words... except for Riki, that is. The Nopon could not see Melia's brother, but he was able to hear his final words. Realizing this, Melia gave Riki a big poignant hug, thanking Riki for being such a wonderful friend through her mourning...
----------

Sometime afterward, Melia felt better, so she was now completely focused on helping Shulk defeat Zanza, and secure everyone's future.

Right on time, Dickson appeared again. He taunted and beckon the group to meet him on Prison Island through the portal he appeared from.

One disciple was defeated, but another was ready his turn!
