This video shows how to get from Mount Edge Peak to the White Whale Debris, Mechanical Lv.4, on the floating island to the south.

To perform it, transform in and out of vehicle mode (always ending by going into vehicle mode), go into the Skell Gear menu, and change a piece of gear so that your Skell's model reloads on the gameplay screen. This resets the effect gravity has on your Skell. Repeat.

I made the mistake of completely exiting the menu during this video, but I left it in, in part, to show how lenient this particular trip from Mountain Edge Peak to this floating island is.
