This video shows how to go from Castaway Cavern Fast Travel Point to the Top Platform of Unicorn Rock without flight.

To perform it, transform in and out of vehicle mode (always ending by going into vehicle mode), go into the Skell Gear menu, and change a piece of gear so that your Skell's model reloads on the gameplay screen. This resets the effect gravity has on your Skell. Repeat.
