This short little FMV sticks with you. I've had "even if it kills me" in my head for decades. It's a fairly bizarre scene, one that kinda breaks reality if you spend any amount of time thinking about it on a logical level. But hey, I guess dreams don't have to be reality, right?

This is our first chance to see Red Guy in any capacity, and while I can't claim that it's one of the 20 weirdest random one-off things to happen in Xenogears, it's notable for how early in the game it is. Sure, later on we'll see floating heads and talking dolphins. But for the first 3-4 hours, this was a huge deal.
