I feel a lot of dissonance whenever I watch this scene. On the one hand, this is the goal, right? Get rid of Solaris. But on the other hand.. not like this? Id doesn't just manifest here, it destroys an entire country. After spending 10-ish hours in Solaris, to see it just vaporized like that is quite a thing. You want it, but maybe not this much.
It's strange that all of our antagonists are just fine after this place gets completely wrecked. It's like all the decent people who have been captured by them were killed, but somehow the huge floating head sphere that was talking to Fei is just fine, and so are Krelian, Miang, etc. In a way, it doesn't even matter that Solaris as we know it is completely gone. 500 years of war with Shevat and nothing could touch it, but put Id on it for 30 seconds and buh-bye Solaris!
