This scene almost immediately follows the climactic events at the end of the Aveh section. Fei is swimming in his little memory realm while a new masked character, the Executioner, talks to presumably the leader of Kislev, Sigmund, about keeping Fei alive in exchange for Solaris assistance. This scene is a little disorienting because who are any of these people? It's a nice way to transition from the old setting into the new, and a good way to show that we have been captured by the supposed enemy.

Meanwhile, this is our first glimpse of Fei off in his happy place, bouncing the ball in the Coward's lair.
