Do not let the very unusual name fool you; Xexyz is a well-made NES game with a lot to offer, great music and a nice little story too, although you will only truly get the full impact of this game by importing or playing the Japanese version and learning a little Hiragana and Katakana. Xexyz has altered sprites and removed some of the story scenes from the Japanese game, though the core elements are intact.
Anyhoo, in Xexyz, you go around shooting enemies and solving little puzzles, as well as fight the good boss fight. The game also lets you find numerous characters whom will interact with you by giving you hints or offering items. You can also play mini-games and purchase items from shops or using other services people provide by gathering "Es", a type of currency. Ocassionally, you'll have to prove yourself to gain important items or help a friend in need, but it just adds to the game's diversity. You'll even be able to pilot different machines in the game and play horizontal shooter-type levels. I don't have too many qualms with this game overall. It's a fun title and it should be pretty cheap too. Enjoy.
