The Evil Shogun has stolen the ring of Arkista, plunging the Elven Kingdom into darkness and despair. Only one elf, Christine, is brave enough to take up the treacherous challenge to recover the stolen treasure. She must fight through towns, graveyards, and mazes crawling with hordes of monsters. Yet, with your help, can she make it to the infamous Ninja Dungeon?

Description from the box, and such an original tale of elves and ninjas! Apparently, Arkista's Ring is a classic, repetitve game that was only released in the U.S. There's nothing really wrong with the game initially. I actually like how she travels from level to level in the sense that the developers made it seem somewhat plausible how she travels from point A to point B, such as from getting off at the dock to leaving the dock, etc. The game is decent until you beat it once, then the game will want you to beat it again and again until you clear the 125th level. If you're the type who can sit through games like Bubble Bobble, then you'll find something to like here, as that burning question "What happens when I clear all 125 levels?" springs in your head.

Christine can shoot deadly arrows at her foes, but she can get numerous power-ups that enemies drop, armor to increase her longevity, and 1-Ups as well. She can also restore her health by using a potion or touching certain objects during the course of the game. The best part is that she can switch between items and use them at will, though you must be mindful, since her carrying capacity is limited. Enjoy.
