Little Nemo (titled Nemo: Pajama Hero in Japan) is a fun Capcom title based off of the 1989 Japanese-American co-production film, Little Nemo, which is an award-winning animated film directed by Masami Hata and William T. Hurtz and loosely based on the comic strip "Little Nemo in Slumberland" by Winsor McCay during the early 1900s. The animated film would later come to the U.S. in 1992, roughly two years after the game it's based on, which is quite unusual.

This game is just one of several shining examples of McCay's brilliance and influence among individuals with his enchanting comic. While relatively simple and not particularly original in its execution, it is one of several "good" games based off of a movie. Oh, and the animated film is perhaps what I'd call a masterpiece (It was by TMS Entertainment or Tokyo Movie Shinsha's animation studio after all), even if its imagery isn't quite on par with McCay's original work, and I recommend it.

In this game, you play as Nemo who must go around feeding candy to different creatures to gain special powers and search for keys hidden throughout each level to open the exit door. While this sounds simple, you can rest assured that it's harder than it sounds, dare I say frustrating at times. Each creature has different characteristics that you'll have to take advantage of to clear levels and you'll have to backtrack often and fight lots of enemies. Nemo himself is almost defenseless, so you'll want to find a helper quickly. The game has a good presentation and nice music. Enjoy.
