Terra Cresta Game Sample - NES/FC
Original Air Date: August 22nd, 2009
Terra Cresta is a fairly obscure game and the sequel to Moon Cresta and prequel to Terra Cresta II. This game was originally made back in 1985 and released for the Famicom in 1986. For what it's worth, it was your run-of-the-mill old repetitive shooter with an emphasis on awesome enemy waves, lots of action, and a cool power-up system where you had to unlock areas holding various different ships. As you collected them, the ship would grow in size and it reminds some a bit of Voltron in the way it all comes together, though it can also temporarily disband using a special attack. If you gathered all the parts without getting hit, you could temporarily become an invincible phoenix!
Well, flash forward some point in time since the Famicom release... if the sources I've read are correct, then the U.S. got this game OVER THREE YEARS later during the first quarter of 1990. I'm pretty sure you can see the problem with that at this point. This game isn't bad, but that's a HUGE delay in the localization of the game. It's still kinda fun and challenging though. Enjoy.
Oh, and I forgot to fade this video out. Oh well.
