About this video: In this video, I show you how to download and install XRay in Minecraft 1.16.5. We do this by getting a XRay resource pack for 1.16.5. Specifically, we are going to download and install the Xray Ultimate texture pack. XRay Ultimate is one of the most popular resource packs for XRay, and this video will show you exactly how to get Xray in Minecraft 1.16.5 using the resource pack. Thus, without anymore delay, here is how to install the xray texture pack in Minecraft 1.16.5!
The first step of getting Xray 1.16.5 is downloading the XRay resource pack. You can find a link to XRay Ultimate in the description above. When you click that link, it will actually take you to our text tutorial for installing the XRay resource pack. Once you are here, scroll down and click the ‘Download XRay Ultimate’ resource pack. This will take you to the official XRay Ultimate resource pack download page. Once you are here, look at the right-hand sidebar and scroll down to the ‘Minecraft 1.16’ section. Click the orange download button next to the file listed in this section. When you do that, XRay Ultimate will start downloading after a few seconds. You may need to keep/save your file depending on your browser.
Once you have the XRay texture pack downloaded, it is time to get it installed. This is actually really simple and easy. Just open up Minecraft 1.16.5, and from the main menu, click on ‘options’, ‘resource packs’, and then, click on ‘open resource packs folder’ in the bottom left. This will open up your resource packs folder. To install your XRay texture pack, just drag-and-drop the XRay Ultimate Resource pack into this resource pack folder.
Now, come back to Minecraft, and you will see ‘Xray Ultimate’ on the left hand available resource packs section. It will be red, but don't worry about that. Click the arrow that appears when you hover over the pack to move it into the 'Selected Resource Packs' section. You will be warned it's not compatible, but move it over anyway. Now, click 'Done'. The XRay texture pack will now activate in Minecraft 1.16.5.
You can go in game, and you will be able to Xray all you want. You may have some trouble seeing ores, and to fix that, you will need to install Optifine. You can find our in-depth Optifine tutorial in the description above.
