Colored text. It's almost imposible. But you know how to do it. There are various... command? modifier? Not sure what to say, but you can type bunch of brackets and alphabet to do something crazy with Terraria chat. Here are the command list:
-[c/(hexcode):(message)] It shows the message in color.
...google the hexcode, if you don't know it.
-[i:(ItemID)] This will display the item on chat, amazingly.
-[i/p(ReforgeID):(ItemID)], [i/x(number):(itemID)] also exist. You can also use [i/s(number):(itemID)] for latter.
-[a:(achievementID)] shows the achievement, and that's it really. you can click it to open achievement tab
-[n:(message)] puts brackets on the message. That's it.

You can use this to announcement box, and chest name, somehow. So go show your stuff!... or just use /e command. That literally does nothing but add one more character. that's it really. why does that exist anyway?
Please do note that you could add more commands by opening server or using 3rd party plugins like tshocks. I mean, tshock has 3 pages of commands, so you can configure a lot. Add bit more plugins for more commands. but not /gamemode 1... or /gamemode creative... why did they disabled the numbered version anyway?
