YUKI is a stylish, bullet hell, VR roguelike SHMUP (Shoot 'em up) from the creators of the fantastic Pixel Ripped franchise. Grab hold of your brand new Yuki action figure and be instantly transported to a world of vibrant imagination, dodge incoming attacks, blast enemies away & collect power-ups on a quest to restore order and ultimately get further than your previous run... this is my kind of VR game! This YUKI Quest 2 gameplay / YUKI Oculus Quest 2 gameplay was recorded using a pre-release build of the game so things may still change on the run up to launch but right now it's safe to safe I'm addicted and will be coming back time & time again to unlock all the figures, power ups and charms.

I don't think I've ever played a VR bullet hell game before, I've definitely played plenty of intense experiences but navigating THIS many bullets and incoming projectiles is definitely a new one for me, YUKI may look extremely colourful & vibrant but don't let that fool you, this game get's challenging real quick, especially if the RNG gods are not kind with their power ups & health drops. As a VR roguelike / VR roguelite the idea of YUKI is to run the levels over and over again, death means you start from the very beginning but you do get to keep any permanent upgrades you make using the orbs you collect on each attempt. These upgrades range from incremental health boosters or shield recharge buffs to additional items added to the power up pool like drones that fire rockets or allies that sit alongside you firing shots at enemies.

I'll admit that YUKI wasn't particularly high on my new Quest 2 games radar but the second I booted it up for the first time and started my run I knew this was something I would love. Fans of procedural VR roguelikes, roguelites, bullet hell shooters and SHMUPS will have a blast with YUKI when it launches this week. Those who preorder YUKI will even get to play it 48hrs early, BONUS!
