Zelda and Castlevania African Weapons
Did you know that The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and Castlevania Symphony of the Night both contain weapons from Africa? That's right in today's video we are looking at the real life weapons that inspired videogame weapons. Specifically Central African throwing knives. And that's not all, at the end of the video we show a character from the movie Prince of Persia The Sands of Time who also fights with a Central African throwing knife.
The focus of the video is primarily the Zelda weapon known as the Lizal Tri-Boomerang and the Castlevania weapon called the Bwaka Knife which are both inspired kives of the Bangi and Bwaka peoples of Central African. Other peoples are discussed as well like the Azande and their Kpinga blades. Our discussion details both weapon use and cultural significance.
The goal of this channel is to help educate people about Africa and other world cultures. I hope to give various world cultures especially African culture an appeal to a large audience that might not otherwise get exposed to the wonderful art that comes from Africa and other underrepresented cultures of the world.
