Previously, Link explored four shrines on the Dueling Peaks in West Necluda: Ree Dahee, Shee Vaneer, Shee Venath, and Ha Dahamar. He also checked out the Dueling Peaks Stable on the eastern side of the peaks. Before he continues north to Kakariko Village, he will tame a wild horse in the area.

Link resumes at the Dueling Peaks Stable.

He talks to Rensa, who now has a quest available (time 0:32). Rensa issues the side quest "Wild Horses". Link has two minutes to tame a wild horse and ride it back to the stable.

In the woods just southeast of the stable, Link mounts a wild horse from behind (time 2:33). When you press the L button, he will soothe the horse. The horse will not be compliant right away. Fortunately, the nearby horses are less likely to throw Link off than other horses.

The objective is satisfied when Link rides the horse close to Rensa within the time limit (time 3:23). Rensa rewards Link with a Purple Rupee, worth 50 rupees. "Wild Horses" complete!

From horseback, Link talks to Tasseren (time 4:17). He registers his new horse for the low price of 20 rupees. The fee includes a saddle and reins. Link names the horse Tinfoil; a little joke. Then, Link chooses to take the horse along rather than boarding it. When the player presses down on the D-pad, Link will whistle to call the horse to him. However, it won't work if the horse is too far away.

Link dismounts Tinfoil nearby (time 5:57). He feeds the horse some Apples. This increases Tinfoil's affection towards him. Tinfoil takes about nine Apples.

Link talks to an NPC named Celessa (time 8:00). She provides information about the leader of Kakariko Village.

Link talks to Tasseren again (time 8:27). He chooses to board Tinfoil and then takes Tinfoil out again. This is so that I can see the state of Link's bond with the horse, which is now at the maximum. Tasseren points out the ease of riding by road.

Link also speaks with Toma, a mounted NPC (time 9:38). It sounds like there are outfits for sale in Kakariko Village.

Link begins riding north along the road. Before long, the road splits. The right turn leads east to Hateno Village, while the northern turn keeps going to Kakariko Village. Link continues riding north.

He soon crosses the Kakariko Bridge over Lake Siela (time 11:21). Past the bridge, the road turns east and begins climbing.

Along the way, Link meets the forest spirit Hestu (time 12:58). Hestu issues the side quest "The Priceless Maracas". A group of monsters camping a short way to the northeast has stolen his maracas, and Hetsu needs them back to recover his powers.

Up the slope to the northeast, Link sneaks up on a camp of three blue Bokoblins (time 14:28). He attacks them from above with his new Soldier's Bow. Throwing Remote Bombs down on them works, too.

After all the Bokoblins are defeated, Link opens the chest (time 16:47). He obtains the key item Hestu's Maracas.

Down the path, Link returns Hestu's Maracas to Hestu (time 17:31). Unfortunately, something is missing. In exchange for Korok Seeds, Hestu will increase Link's inventory for melee weapons, shields, or bows.

Link speaks to Hestu again (time 18:28). Link exchanges a Korok Seed to increase his Weapon stash by one slot. He exchanges a second Korok Seed to increase his Bow stash by one slot. Unfortunately, that concludes the trades that Hestu will do here. In the future, Link must seek Hestu out in the Korok Forest. Apparently, it is to the north along the Hylia River. "The Priceless Maracas" complete!

Link mounts Tinfoil again (time 21:27). He continues following the road in a general northerly direction.

Before long, he reaches Kakariko Village (time 22:29).

Just inside town, an NPC named Nanna points Link towards Lady Impa's house.

Up a path to the northwest, Link finds the Ta'loh Naeg Shrine (time 24:49). He operates the pedestal to open the shrine's door and activate a teleport point convenient to Kakariko Village.
