Previously, Link completed the main quest "EX Champion Revali's Song" in the Tabantha region. As part of the quest, he uncovered and completed the Kiah Toza Shrine near Hebra Peak and the Noe Rajee Shrine in the Flight Range. He also fought Windblight Ganon in the Illusory Realm at the Divine Beast Vah Medoh. To continue "EX The Champions' Ballad", Link will now begin the trial quest in the Wasteland region.

Link resumes at his house in Hateno Village.

To get to the monument in the Wasteland region, Link starts by teleporting to the Suma Sahma Shrine on Mount Granajh (time 0:53). Upon arrival, he puts on his Snowquill set to avoid freezing to death. Link heads north across Mount Granajh. Then, he glides down to the plateau on the East Gerudo Mesa where the monument is located.

A scene takes place when Link approaches the monument (time 2:23). As before, the three pillars activate and show the locations of the trials that unlock the shrines. Also as before, Kass provides some hints set in song.

We regain control of Link after the scene (time 5:15). The main quest "EX Champion Urbosa's Song".

Link teleports to the Daqo Chisay Shrine outside Gerudo Town (time 6:26). He puts on his clever Gerudo set disguise and enters town. He visits the arrow shop, where he picks up more Arrows and Shock Arrows.

Link talks to Teake by one of the guards at the palace entrance (time 8:06). She warns him about a strange Molduga variant recently seen near the East Barrens. It sounds like a Hylian journalist is there, as well.

In the palace, Link talks to Lady Riju (time 8:51). When he asks about Lady Urbosa, Riju gives him permission to read Urbosa's diary in her room. When he asks about the treasured orb, she reveals that the Yiga have stolen it. Link must recover it from the Yiga Clan Hideout before he can use it for the trial.

Link also talks to Buliara (time 11:04). She will also provide information about the treasured orb.

In Riju's room, Link reads Urbosa's Diary (time 12:31). Urbosa writes much about Zelda.

Link will first look for a shrine location in the East Barrens in the southeast of the Gerudo Desert. To start, he teleports back to the Suma Sahma Shrine on Mount Granajh (time 16:36). After changing back to his Snowquill set to resist the cold, Link begins paragliding west to the East Barrens. As he leaves the highlands, he puts on the Desert Voe set for heat resistance.

Link lands on a low plateau in the southeast of the East Barrens (time 19:09). There is a campfire on this plateau.

On the plateau, Link talks to Traysi (time 19:17). Traysi is most perceptive. She talks about the powerful Molduga nearby. THe beast can be seen in the ruins to the north.

Before setting out, Link uses Traysi's campfire to rest until morning.

In the morning, Link glides north to the ruins (time 21:13). When he lands, he faces the Molduking of the Divine Beast Tamer's Trial. He hastens to get atop a pillar for safety.

The strategy is similar to the strategy for a normal Molduga. The Molduking tends to swim under the surface of the sand. From a safe perch, Link drops spherical Remote Bombs to lure the Molduking to the surface. When the Molduking jumps up to grab it, Link detonates the bomb to stun it. Then, Link can dive down to deliver some blows with his melee weapon. When the Molduking is flopping on the surface of the sand, Link can also fire on it with a Bomb Arrow to stun it. During the fight, Link photographs the Molduking for the Hyrule Compendium.

In time, Link defeats the Molduking (time 26:18). A shrine rises from the lower level of Traysi's plateau. The Molduking drops a few treasure chests and some weapons that were attached to it.

Returning southeast to the plateau, Link discovers the Keive Tala Shrine (time 29:25). He examines the pedestal to open the shrine and activate its travel gate.

Link talks to Traysi again (time 30:05). Sorry, Traysi.

Link enters the shrine (time 30:54). Keive Tala issues the trial Big or Small.

To the left, Link sees a power source and some circuits. In nooks to the right, there are two small metal blocks and a large one. With Magnesis, Link puts one small metal block in the water near the power source to conduct electricity to the circuits.

The description is continued in the comments.
