Previously, Link entered the twilit Lanayru Province through the curtain north of Kakariko Village and followed Ilia's scent southwest to Hyrule Castle Town. Now, it is time to find the girl herself. Naturally, to gain information from the spirits in town, Link must use his wolf senses.

In exploring Hyrule Castle Town, he learns that there is an ill Zora kid in town. Also, the town's water seems to have dried up, hinting at problems at Lake Hylia west of town. In fact, it sounds like the water level at Lake Hylia has dropped so low that the spirit's spring is inaccessible.

In the South Road section of town, Link finds Telma's Bar on the eastern side (time 10:06). Within, he finds Ilia herself seated next to the bar's owner, Telma (time 10:23). They are looking after a Zora child.

Then, in the back room, Link checks on the gathered soldiers (time 11:50). The commander is assigning them to check on the spring spirit, but they are not proving too enthusiastic. Then, Link checks the map on the table (time 12:39). It focuses on a red dot at Lake Hylia, the large area to the southwest.

So, Link takes exit to Hyrule Field from the West Road (time 14:08). From there, he takes the road leading out to the west (time 15:05).

Southwest, past a Y-intersection, he he finds himself at the Great Bridge of Hylia over Lake Hylia (time 16:15). A panorama takes place as he approaches the bridge itself (time 17:10). However, what should be a great lake below has been reduced to a tiny pond! To make matters worse, as he starts crossing the span, he notices that the bridge is coated in oil.

A scene occurs as he reaches the middle of the bridge (time 18:11). A Twilit Bokoblin shows up at the opposite end ... and sets the bridge ablaze at both ends!

To escape, Link must push a crate against the bridge wall and then jump off (time 18:53). Arriving in Lake Hylia, he drops directly into the puddle below. Lucky! Midna tells him to search for the spirit's spring.

On the shore, there are some Zora spirits pondering Lake Hylia's situation. They conclude that the problem has happened at the water's source, Zora's Domain to the north. They seem to be in dire--and dry--straits.

Uphill to the west, Link finds a clownish fellow named Fyer (time 21:24). Since the lake has dried up, no one can get to the spirit's spring. As Fyer bemoans his lot, he notices a Twilit Bokoblin by some hawk-summoning grass to the northeast!

To the northeast, Link approaches the Twilit Bokoblin (time 23:00). The enemy uses the grass to summon a Shadow Bird and climbs aboard! The Shadow Bird Rider is not terribly difficult. Just avoid his arrows by strafing him. When he wings around and prepares to swoop, attack the bird with A, latch on, and attack repeatedly. When the rider is knocked down, Link can finish it off.

After the battle, Midna takes control of the Shadow Bird (time 24:45). She has the avian transport them up Zora's River so they can reach the water source.

Then, Link, Midna, and the Shadow Bird fly up Zora's River (time 25:24). There will be a bunch of Twilit Bokoblins trying to shoot Link down, and there will also be falling rocks.

At the end, the group exits to Upper Zora's River (time 27:08). The Shadow Bird deposits them near a cabin at the top of the river. Midna observes that it is cold around there.

In the next episode, Link will head up into Zora's Domain.
