61We are already on the brink of receiving the 1.3 update for Zenless Zone Zero, so I am quite late with this particular archive. But nonetheless it is worth archiving since the creators of ZZZ did some great improving on their formula. First of all, the TV minigame was completely taken out of this update, which I love and I hope they keep continuing on this course. The characters, battle style and world building is great and those are the parts they can focus on instead of the TV game.
This time we head outside the city and help a small motorcycle gang consisting of some ladies who like to play with fire. Where up until now the style was obviously Cyberpunk, this time we head towards the desert and get familiar with some Dieselpunk. Dieselpunk always goes hand in hand with Cyberpunk as we also saw in Cyberpunk 2077. With character designs inspired by Mad Max, it is a breath of fresh air to get our hands on these new characters. We get to know all the crew members really well and there is even an awesome, yet simple, minigame where we get to partake in a race on a motorcycle. The update is definitely a step in the right direction and I cannot wait to see how they will improve upon it even more with future updates.
