[0.0] Super Smash Bros 4 Wii U: V1.06 Classic Mode Speed run as custom glitched Mewtwo in 22.92
Date recorded: 25th April 2015
Aims for lowest possible in-game time (22.92)
Short version: Did some speed run attempts when 1.06 Mewtwo became a thing until one day, I downloaded Splatoon Global Testfire and the system decided to install v1.07 without letting me know. So RIP future attempts for now.
Technically this speed run is improvable but with the current situation (my Wii U copy is now v1.10) it will take a while until some pro exploit/hacker can release these title update files and download them to respective Wii U systems.
Despite the unfortunate star KO animation from Samus, I carried on because
1) I got a walk-off stage which can be completed really, really fast
2) Got a lucky crit against Master Hand which saves a couple of seconds.
The Xbox 360 for example has a website dedicated to every single title update file that can be imported to a (offline) console, those kinds of websites are really important if your speed game has the best version that's neither vanilla or the latest version. I can think of two games right now:
Scott Pilgrim vs the World the Game and
Dark Souls 1.
