#03: Picking a Plot
The shared hut is beginning to take shape with a lovely carpet, thatched walls, and open-air windows, but... no roof! But there is a start of a mine forming underneath, slowly but surely. I can now create a stone mining cell, which will allow me to collect types of stones from the next deepest layer, including bedrock, limestone, and magnetite.
As our starting ventures begin to wind down, we begin choosing a place to settle on our own; BreakOfDay decides to take refuge on the nearby mountain, being the rugged hermit that he is, and Ceru likes the flat hill just in front of the strange, nostril-like caves. Myself, I like the little island in the river nearby; it will make for an interesting little natural moat for my house. I begin to dig up all the dirt to flatten it out and make room for multiple stories, and I also tame the first pet of the server: a pigsy named Ganny, and he likes red mushrooms.
After a strange hallucination, it's time to wrap things up, dig up the last bits of dirt, and call it a night.
