About this video: If you want to build a gaming PC for $1,000 in 2019, this is the video for you. I go over all of the parts you will need a $1,000 gaming PC. This PC has an incredible 4% bottleneck meaning it is incredibly balanced, and it gives you tons of upgradability into the future allowing you to upgrade your RAM, GPU, and even CPU to something better in the future to give your system even more longevity.
So to start us off, we have an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X. This is a 6-core CPU clocked at 3.6GHz and will allow us to do everything from stream to Twitch to play all modern games that we want at 1080P 60-FPS. We will be using the stock AMD cooler for this CPU, and it will be put in our ASRock B450 Pro4 full-ATX motherboard. This motherboard has plenty of SATA ports for our hard drives, tons of PCI/PCI-e slots for expansion, and supports up to 64GB of RAM. All of this room for expansion gives us a ton of room for expansion in the future.
Speaking of RAM though, for our RAM, we are going with two 8GB sticks of G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3200Mhz RAM for 16GB of total RAM. This will give us plenty of RAM for gaming, streaming, and even video editing. Plus, if you need more RAM, you can just get two more 8GB sticks of RAM and throw them in your system to up yourself to 32GB of RAM. Even more options for expansion and upgradability of this system.
Now, that's our RAM, but what about our SSD/HDD? Well, for our SSD, we are throwing in a Crucial BX500 240GB SSD. This will hold our operating system, programs, and other files we need to access quickly. Our games and media, however, will be stored on a 1TB Western Digital Caviar Blue drive. This will be a great storage combo that will give us plenty of room for any games, programs, or media we want on our system.
We know about our CPU, RAM, storage, etc, but what about our GPU? Well, for our graphics card in this system, we are going with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 8GB GPU. This will allow us to play all modern games at medium to max settings 1080P 60FPS without any issues whatsoever. Plus, this again has a just 4% bottleneck with our CPU meaning you will have no unneeded delays or issues with your PC not being able to work together.
That isn't everything we need for a $1,000 gaming PC though. We still need a case and power supply. For our case, we are using a Cooler Master MasterBox Pro 5 RGB. This is a great case that will provide tons of airflow, look awesome, and it will give you some incredible looking RGB lighting to make your case look awesome.
As far as the PSU goes, an EVGA SuperNOVA G3 550W 80+ Gold Certified full modular power supply. This allows us to keep our case clean of cables as it is fully modular, and it allows us to have room for growth in the future. It will also be very efficient as it is within the 40-60% usage guide for power supply efficiency.
And there you have it! That is all of the parts you need for a $1,000 gaming PC build. If you have any questions about this PC build, please let us know in the comment section down below. It really helps us out, and it means a ton to me. Thank you very much in advance!
