Today I am going to introduce the Few Tiles puzzle by Stewart Coffin in my 13th video of my 30 shorts challenge.
Stewart has been considered to be one of the best designers of polyhedral interlocking puzzles in the world, and is a multiple puzzle award winner.
This puzzle looks very simple, the goal is to fit the 4 pieces into the frame. However once start you will soon realise it is not straight forward. Every combination seems to be slightly not right.
The trick here is that Stewart played with our assumption that right angled corners of the pieces should go to the corners of the frame, yet the solution requires some counter intuitive thinking to solve! Such an elegant example of less is more!
