4So in smaller prisons, it's much easier to go for a certain ratio of guards to prisoners, and different players have different ideas of what the ideal is. I tend to think one guard for every 2-3 prisoners is the best to just smother every trouble spot and outbreak, but that's pretty rough on the cashflow.
The less you can roll with and keep things contained, the better your cash situation is... but trying to go too far with that means you don't have enough guards, and in a prison it's simply not necessary to list all the ways that's bad.
Especially with this rabid, feral group of fucking subhuman savages.
Especially when we're rapidly expanding and getting like sixty or so new capacity today alone, pouring in new maximum-security prisoners by the job lot.
Also, the last shred of what I cling to in order to prove we're doing okay is broken today, I think you'll be able to see what it is. It made me sad.
