Full run of 1942 on the NES/Famicom made by Capcom. My final score was 1,273,850. This was played on real NES hardware.

This game...is terrible lol! Why am I playing it? Well I decided to start playing through some of the old NES games I own and this is the first one on my shelf (sorted alphabetically). Also, don't worry, I will be continuing to upload more videos in the coming days, for much better games.

So this video was actually recorded from my very first attempt/credit playing the game. It's not a hard game at all, but to make up for that, it goes on forever! The entire thing clocks in at well over an hour (with 32 levels). making it one of the longest single loop shooting games out there.


And throughout this extremely long game you are treated to possible the worst "soundtrack" ever made for a video game. It literally consists of random beeps and other odds noises over and over and over again.


There is not much to this game other than picking up a few powerups and getting the wingman upgrade. That's pretty much it, just keep playing until you are greeted with one of the worst endings of all time in a video game.


So with all that said is there anything good about the game? Well, not really. It is kinda playable if you are ok with Atari era graphics and sound, and the controls aren't overtly awful, but it is still a slog to get through.
