2007 Steel City Toyota Motocross (450cc) Championship (Round 10 of 12; Triple Crown Final Round)
This is round 10 of the 2007 Toyota Motocross (450cc) Championship presented by FMF and the 3rd and final round of the 2007 Monster Energy Triple Crown from Steel City Raceway in Delmont, PA. This is Ricky Carmichael's part-time Motocross season.
Returning contenders like Supercross champ James Stewart, Andrew Short, Tim Ferry, Michael Byrne, 450cc MX rookie Mike Alessi, Davi Millsaps, 2005 125cc champ Ivan Tedesco, 2003 125cc champ Grant Langston, David Vuillemin, Kevin Windham, and 7-time defending MX champ Ricky Carmichael battle it out for the 2007 Toyota Motocross (450cc) Championship presented by FMF. This outdoor season features a 4-rider battle going down to the wire between Mike Alessi, Tim Ferry, Grant Langston, and Andrew Short. James Stewart drops out of the season after a knee injury he sustained at Washougal in moto #2. Watch a 3-man battle in 450cc moto #2 between Mike Alessi, Grant Langston, and Kevin Windham. Little rumors were speculating that Ricky Carmichael was going to appear at this race to win the $30,000 prize from the Monster Energy Triple Crown, but Ricky was a no-show after his stock car race the day before got rained out. Mike Alessi wins his first ever 450cc moto in moto #1, and Grant Langston wins his first career 450cc overall, his first of the '07 season, and the first for Yamaha since Glen Helen 2001 when Tim Ferry won with a 2-2.
