6The 2017 Jaguar XE is a midsize luxury sport sedan designed to compete with the heavy hitters in its class, like the BMW 3 Series. If the XE looks familiar, that's because its exterior mimics the rest of Jaguar's stylish sedans and conveys an aggressive yet refined look that fits its demeanor. The interior of the XE is exactly what you'd expect from Jaguar, with swanky amenities such as a new next-generation infotainment system that employs a wide touchscreen and a tabletlike interface. While close to perfect, one drawback to the XE is the lack of legroom in the rear seating area -- passengers riding in the back might be a bit cramped, especially if the driver is over 6 feet tall.
Under the hood of the XE is an available 3-liter supercharged V6 that packs quite a punch, with 340 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. According to Jaguar, this powertrain is capable of doing 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 5 seconds. Aside from the neck-snapping performance, it's the little touches that stand out in the XE. From the rear sunshade to the retractable shift dial, Jaguar has included a bevy of cool features that make the overall experience of the 2017 Jaguar XE that much better. While it doesn't totally outshine the 3 Series, it definitely comes close.
