2025 INFINITI QX80 Unveiled Sky High in NYC!
42INFINITI recently unveiled its latest 2025 INFINITI QX80 model at the Edge in Hudson Yards, which boasts the title of the tallest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere. Transporting the full-size luxury SUV to such an elevated location was no small endeavor. It required dismantling the vehicle into numerous parts, removing the engine and fuel systems, and then slicing it into modular sections to be reassembled on-site.
The entire process spanned 40 days, involved over 4,300 hours of labor, and necessitated close to 100 elevator rides to transport all the components. Additionally, the vehicle’s electrical system was reconfigured to ensure that features such as the seats, lighting, and the Klipsch audio system were operational for the display.
The logistics of making every part small enough to fit through the elevators and corridors of the building was a challenge in itself. Despite these difficulties, the reassembly was so flawless that even INFINITI’s lead designer could not discern that the SUV had been completely disassembled prior to the event.
This project was a collaborative effort, requiring the expertise and coordination of hundreds of team members, including key agency partners from GLS Worldwide and PublicisQ. The newly revealed INFINITI QX80 stands as a testament to innovative design, pioneering technology, and meticulous attention to detail, expected to be available at retailers by the end of this summer.
