The Morgan Plus 4, a classic model with a 70-year legacy, was replaced in 2020 by the Plus Four. This new iteration introduces significant upgrades such as a lightweight aluminum frame, a powerful BMW engine, and a well-appointed interior.

Morgan has now unveiled a newer version of the Plus Four, sporting an updated exterior, enhanced chassis features including an optional handling package, and a high-quality Sennheiser sound system. The company is also working to make this car available in the U.S., aiming for its first four-wheeled vehicle to be sold in the country since 2006. Additionally, Morgan is considering the introduction of the more robust Plus Six model to the U.S. market.

The latest design changes to the Plus Four include larger headlights, redefined fenders, and new designs for both the front splitter and rear diffuser, contributing to a sleeker look. These headlights are an inch larger in diameter than the previous model, offer a stronger, more focused beam of light, and, like the mirrors, are unique to Morgan and developed internally.

Regarding the chassis, updates have been made to the spring rates and dampers. Morgan has also introduced a Dynamic Handling Pack that enhances the car's performance on the road through adjustable dampers and new springs, along with a rear anti-roll bar.

Inside the cabin, there are updates such as a new Sennheiser audio system, enhanced graphics and more detailed information on the digital display in front of the driver, and an added ambient lighting feature. The powertrain remains unchanged, with the sole option being a BMW-derived 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, delivering 255 horsepower and driving the rear wheels. It can be paired with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. The car accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 4.8 seconds and has a maximum speed of 149 mph.

Morgan continues to blend traditional craftsmanship with modern technology in the construction of the Plus Four at its Malvern headquarters in the U.K. Each car features a hand-formed aluminum body over an ash wood frame, shaped using age-old techniques. This body is then integrated with a modern aluminum chassis that incorporates contemporary braking, suspension, and electronic systems.

Customers interested in purchasing the Plus Four typically expect a wait of six to 12 months from order to delivery. Production of the updated model is scheduled to begin in May.
