The game is the first from our studio, KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS, and introduces a new genre to gaming, with the social strand system. The friendships, the connections I have made with others, more than anything has impacted the creation of this experience.
DEATH STRANDING is a game about making such connections with others. The story presents a world that is fractured, where humanity is scattered and divided. How did this happen? Can this world be made whole?
As Sam Porter Bridges, you will explore, fight, and persevere across the continent creating strands with other characters and online players. This is Sam’s mission, but your job will be to prepare for the worst and hope for the best as you both trek through timefall and dangerous terrain.
