They are the soldiers who can fix anything: equipment, vehicles, weapons, if it's broken they are on hand to help. In September 3 Battalion REME are due to deploy to Afghanistan and for the last few months they've been training in Germany, getting their engineering and soldiering skills up to scratch for deployment. For the last week they have been out on exercise in Sennelager, preparing for the diverse role that lies ahead of them on Herrick 15.
