Back in episode #290 I noticed the AI wasn't really blocking Morrigan's fireballs in Capcom vs. SNK Pro on the Dreamcast--and then I forgot about it. : P She came up in my semi-random team selection again this time, and again the AI wasn't seeming to block her fireballs. This time I looked into it!

Basically it seems that the AI doesn't even see her fireballs: they don't try to block, neutralize, or dodge them--they just stand there and get hit, or even walk confidently right into them!

I tried fireballs from other characters and didn't find this behavior from the AI--the AI would almost always try to neutralize or dodge them or, as a last resort, block. So it looks like a bug with Morrigan's fireball just not registering as an attack, as far as the AI is concerned.

Anyway this was all in the midst of playing various teams in Arcade Mode of CvSP on DC, at 4/8 difficulty!

So I was talking a little trash about CvS2 and its AI, and then I find a just plain broken bit of CvSP's AI with it not seeing Morrigan's fireballs, and a weak spot in terms of getting beat up by Dictator in that last run until I just resorted to the ol' roll & throw. ; ) (Not to mention just being able to run right through Boxer with O.Iori's rekkas and neutral jump kick. :p)
