3D Puffy Clouds Pack - 3D Modeling Marketplace Workflow Speed-Up Timelapse - [Old Work 2022]
Hi!
This is a speed-up timelapse of one of my 3D model/s projects I have on Sketchfab and which I sell. This video shows my workflow mostly for a small set of 3D models that includes 3D modeling, texturing and a quick glimpse of the scene setup in Sketchfab. Plus, some fun and testing in Unreal Engine 4 and 5.
Note: The Unreal packages are not included. This is mostly behind the scenes stuff for some of the work that I do for these. I am not super experienced in the marketplace field, been selling 3D assets since mid 2021 but here are some of my behind the scenes for my products, experience and/or workflows.
Important note: The works here were done before 2023 and may not represent/show my current skillset. Thank you for your understanding.
If interested, you can see the live 3D model here: https://skfb.ly/oDpNI
Note: I started selling 3D models in several 3D marketplaces since around mid-2021. I learned a lot since then, and in this video, I share my workflow to create these and a glimpse of beginning to around end for each of these by using Sketchfab. Regarding the information in this video, it should not be taken as advice, recommendation or suggestion of any kind. This is not financial or business advice. I am not responsible for your decisions. I am just sharing what I have learned while doing this since mid 2021 and I wanted to share. There is potential this may help someone out there or possibly help someone to see or know more about this field called 3D marketplaces. This also shows a basic recipe/formula I developed over repetition, use and experience which I use a lot to publish this kind of products.
Special thanks to you, family and friends, and anybody I interacted, taught-me [Any errors my own], worked with or shared with during this 3D journey :]. Same with anybody that makes tools, addons or resources about 3D. Thanks a lot!
I hope you enjoy the video and thanks for watching! Have a great day!

As for references, if used. I just went to Google and typed the prompt I wanted or planned to do in order to start the creative juices flowing. But I did not used specific references, more like quickly skimming through a lot of them so my brain could digest basic shape, form, texture, etc. I apologize in advance for not having specific references. But if you go to Google and type for example puffy clouds, more than likely what you saw there I saw at one point or another.
Credits to everybody that made those from either photography, art, illustration, 2D or even 3D, movies or any other media. While I use references, I do my best to not carbon copy what I see. That is not really my goal with these projects of mine, unless it is a personal study that I do not sell of course. But from time to time, I like to dive deeper into my imagination, even if things may not come out as accurate as possible, sometimes I do a mixture of both, references and my creativity. Once in a while with anything, I like to add a slight personal touch to things or modify them slightly, just like my video-game mods. Maybe I am so wrong to think this way, I don't know. But if it is for a job, of course if you are paying me to copy something and make it 3D. I will make sure that it is as close as possible to what you may have [references, concept art, a physical object] want or need while using my current skillset.
If interested. My work is on many platforms. ArtStation, Sketchfab, CGTrader, Turbosquid, Unreal Marketplace, Unity Assetstore. My ArtStation page has them all if interested.
Note: with this said, I am not the very best when it comes to many areas of 3D. Especially characters, vehicles or foliage. I am learning new methods or techniques from time to time in order to improve my skillset.
Thanks for watching! and have a great day! :]
