We've gone to Hell. Dr. Spoilsport can't help us now. Get in, destroy the heartifact, get out, save the human race. Hell throws everything they got at us. We'll have to cross pools of lava, walk along dangerous ledges, and have a huge arena fight with barons, mancubi, and a few of their little friends.
The climax brings us face to faces with Dr. Betruger, who has grown into a giant hideous dragon (earning him the new name of Dr. Betragon). He's a tougher final boss than the Cyberdemon in Doom 3. If I didn't have a pretty full stock of BFG ammo as well as souls, I'd be in real trouble. Can I beat him in less than an hour and end the invasion for good? What does the rather abrupt end of the game mean? Will we get a sequel to this one?
I had a good time iwth Resurrection of Evil and am happy I finally played it, but now I'm excited to move on to the Doom reboot!
