7 Tips to INSTANTLY Improve at Teamfight Tactics TFT Beginner's Guide
4,976Teamfight Tactics is still new and there's a lot of depth to the game to dig into. However, here are 7 great Tips and Tricks that will help you improve at the game and start getting those W's. These Tips and Tricks are all general and can be applied to ANY match of TFT and will bump you up the skill ladder just in time for the upcoming Ranked Mode.
Your success in Teamfight Tactics relies heavily on your ability to manage your income against the available champion units that you roll every round. The carousel should factor into your decision making and getting the right item for your team composition is crucial.

Tip #1 - Focus on farming as much income as you can at all times. In Teamfight Tactics, you earn bonus interest on your gold count for every 10 gold you have to a maximum of 50 gold. This gold is important for being able to level in TFT and raise your level.
Tip #2 to Improve at Teamfight Tactics - Use strong individual units in the beginning of the game. Often times players in TFT focus on building synergies in the beginning and end up using 1-star units that don't provide much value.
Tip #3 to Improve at Teamfight Tactics - Your build should focus on the items you get whenever possible. Items in TFT make or break your final comp and need to be your first focus to win.
Tip #4 to Improve at Teamfight Tactics - Watch the other players in the TFT match to identify who will be in the final 3. If they are building a specific comp that you can counter it will pay off handsomely in the end.
Tip #5 to Improve at Teamfight Tactics - Pay attention to trends that are appearing in your rolls throughout the TFT match. If you are being given the same units or synergies repeatedly it means those are available in the pool and can be picked up for easy 2 or 3-star units.
Tip #6 to Improve at Teamfight Tactics - Keep an eye on unit availability. If you are going for a build be sure to look around at other players to see if others are going the same build as you. If they are, you might consider switching to another TFT synergy as the availability of those units will go down considerably.
Tip #7 to Improve at Teamfight Tactics - Be willing to give up on a strategy that isn't working. I've played many TFT matches where I was in last place with less than 10 HP and re-rolled my entire build to pull out a 1st place win. Sometimes the build isn't working and must be thrown away.
