7 Years in 7 Nights Celebration, Night 7: Quake night
1We're ending the 7-year celebration with the game I've spent the majority of the weekends of the past 2+ years with. To change things up a little bit, I'd be playing the vanilla Quake episodes, but using Copper.
I wasn't sure how I'd do on time, so I prioritized E1 because it's the episode I'm mosot familiar with, followed by E4 which I wanted to refresh my memory on before playing the recently-released Spiritworld by zigi and NewHouse. As it turned out, I ended up having time to play through all 4 episodes, though I did skip E2 and E3's secret levels, and was kind of trying to fast-track some maps.
I ended up accidentally trolling myself by playing the end map... and forgetting that Underdark Overbright (which Copper ships with) replaces the stock end map with its own, which I was completely unprepared for, and I'd forgotten quite how it worked. It's pretty interesting once you figure it out, but I died plenty of times in the process.
