⑦【Super "Mario" World - "A Nostalgic Switch"】Squiggy's ROM Hack Romp (SMW ROM Hack Commentary)
Today we kick it off with the Red Switch Zone, which is probably pretty familiar to anyone that's played Mario before, haha. I like this idea too -- a nostalgic treat for a switch palace, in lieu of the traditional minigame challenge.
The rest of the levels have a common theme -- ice physics. Dealing with ice is not my strong point when it comes to Super Mario World hacks, but it goes smoothly enough, all things considering.
After we finish with the icy cloud, we meander our way down to a mountainy meadow to meet a mad mob of murderous moledogs. The moledogs aren't much trouble, it's just my poor decision making that gets us killed most times.
The last level we have is Mountain Lake, and it's your grandfather's underwater level. Not too hard, not too easy. My favourite part is the transition from underwater to overwater (yeah, that's a word now) when you get a nice sunset to finish the level off. It's a nice little visual reward for a level beaten.

Ive being working on this hack for over a year now so yeah, its the best I can do. There are a few things explained in the Read Me so please read it as it states a few glitches that may occur, none that can break the game.
---[ Squiggy's ROM Hack Romp Series Information ]---------------
Squiggy's ROM Hack Romp is a series on Super Mario World ROM Hacks. In this series, I will play through SMW ROM Hacks that are submitted to me and that I pull off smwcentral.net. I'll always play the submitted ones first though! Ideally, I will use no save states and do full commentary playthroughs.
I am also happy to accept ROM hacks for any other game, or even a game you programmed or somehow created outside of the ROM hacking world. Basically I love amateur user-created gameplay of any type, and even if it isn't a ROM Hack Romp contender, I'd be happy to play anything you've made and put it in another series!
If you are a ROM hacker or enthusiast, let me know if there's anything you'd like me to play. Whether it be one you made yourself or one you'd just like to see, leave me a comment below or send it over to SendMeYourHacks@gmail.com and I'll be sure to get back to you. Thanks for watching friends!
