#823 King of Fighters Maximum Impact 2 (PS2) Hidden Characters (5/13): Wild Wolf gameplay.
Gameplay of the hidden character Wild Wolf in SNK’s King of Fighters Maximum Impact 2/King of Fighters 2006.
A wild world requires a Wild Wolf, I suppose. Sounding like the working title for a Cat Stevens song, Wild Wolf is actually Terry Bogard from his appearance in the phenomenal Garou Mark of the Wolves. This appearance for him was eventually given to him in the King of Fighters series in KOF 2003, a title which also introduced fellow Garou characters such as Gato and Tizoc. Terry’s Garou design was actually his alternate costume in the first Maximum Impact, so why they decided to make him a wholly separate character here might seem a bit baffling, at least until you try him out. He’s basically the Garou version of Terry, as opposed to the Real Bout version of Terry present in the first Maximum Impact. As with Classic Kyo, he’s a character who’s here for fan service more than anything else. He’s a good character on the whole, as Terry always is, though I really didn’t find his dial-a-combos particularly easy to utilise. Still, a decent character on the whole, like most in this game.
Next up, another unique hidden character.
