Here is my Full playthrough of Pop'n Twinbee on Normal mode done live on IGTV.

REVIEW:
-After a week of abuse attempting the top high scores on Pinball Fantasies, I'm waving a temporary white flag before the cartridge and I have an accident! I dont like losing muscle memory on a game but sometimes you have a break and focus crosshairs elsewhere. Having already toppled the very enjoyable, tho arguably far easier 'Rainbow Bell Adventures', it seemed as fitting a time as any to take on the series more infamous Snes offering.

Mildly more challenging than Rainbow Bell it maybe, but no less enjoyable. I'm not the biggest 'Cute em Up' fan but you'd be hard pressed not to fall in love with this game whether your background in shumps rests more in the hardcore or casual band.

Trailblazing the genre in 8-bit with Twinbee, Konami update the series here wonderfully. The original bell juggling mechanics remain, as does the anxiety each burst of bells offers every potential ship power up. Which colours do what? That's the million dollar question and it's well worth learning the answer because, like many shumps, avoiding is often as important as collecting them.

Once confident in Bell identification, gameplay should be rendered fairly tame there after. A reliance on shields & additional satellites should leave you feeling smug up against the majority of what the game throws at you but during more chaotic moments, the addition of screen clearing specials offers a big advantage if used wisely.

The inclusion of ground bombing adds another satisfying dimension to gameplay, sometimes rewarded further with health powerups hidden inside enemies.

Besides the obvious embrace of wonderfully colourful & charming graphics, the music also has to be recognised as a triumph. Boss encounters yet further the masterpiece through there creative and attractive design.

All in all it's hard to find anything at fault with this one. Those hungry for a more unforgiving shooter experience to suffer at the hands of, may find disappointment in the easier challenge offered although a harder setting is optional.

Pop'N Twinbee acts as a great introduction to the shoot em up genre but also a highly enjoyable playthrough for veterans. Classic Konami!
