I haven't actually started this game yet, still working my way through XC1 but I couldn't resist covering a track already! Me and Noble figured we'd do a track while the hype for this game is still around, this track definitely stuck out to both of us, and it's insane! Not even slightly surprised no one else has covered this song yet as of the time of recording, because there's just so much going on!
In terms of arrangement, I didn't do too much other than add more guitar into it and add my style in terms of production and mix. I did definitely play around with how it's segmented, with repetitions, ending, a solo section and a funk section (which was super fun to do!).
The mix was for this was definitely a pain, with so much going on it was tricky to balance everything and make sure everything cuts through. It's also been a while since I've reached around 40 tracks on a mix!
In terms of performance, a lot of the lead parts were pretty easy actually, nothing to crazy! The real challenge was the piano in the solo, which I was adamant on learning on guitar so I could do a unison part, and that was hell! The rhythm guitar parts were also tricky but the real man on this one was Noble, as some of those bass parts were also insane, so massive props to him for nailing them! Overall it's still a crazy song, so the video might be a touch sloppy so I could get this out on time, so I hope you forgive me on that one!
And finally, special thanks to VGMJeese for transcribing and help programming those insane drum solos in the middle of the song! I was really struggling myself with those as my drumming is pretty work, and he smashed it out so quickly for me!
