Menace from the Deep is an Indie, Lovecraftian take on Slay The Spire.
It’s a Roguelike Deckbuilder or roguelite card game where you fight the monsters of the deep, and the beyond, and try to maintain your sanity as well!

A Lovecraftian Take on Slay The Spire?
Yep.
Like Slay The Spire, you fight in card based battles against enemies as you explore the map, unlocking more cards and currencies as you fight through your many foes, both mundane and monstrous, and find powerful relics to boost your abilities in the run.
Enemies also clearly telegraph their moves here, and, just like in Slay The Spire, cards not played are discarded, helping to keep hand sizes manageable, and keeping the game going.

You Don’t Have to Roam Alone!
Unlike in Slay The Spire, in Menace from the Deep, you don’t have to fight alone!
With the first character getting a trusty companion who you do not control, but helps you fight, but guard them well, for if they fall, you will truly be alone, unless you summon a dark thing from beyond…

Maintain Your Mind!
Menace from the Deep is a Lovecraftian game, so fittingly; your mind is a target as well.
In Menace from the Deep, you must maintain your sanity as well, as monsters will attempt to shatter it and send you careening into madness and death, as is proper for the setting.
Be warned!

Meta Progression:
Currently, there are 2 unlockable characters; counting the starting character, there are a total of 3 characters.
You can collect wood in missions to build structures in your converted museum, like the hospital for +5 starting hp, random consumables from the flea market, and another 2 more starting deck choices from the library.
Fear points are also awarded at the end of your run.

Note: This is the early demo version of Menace from the Deep, and thus any encountered bugs or other oddness is not representative of the final product.
Still, Menace from the Deep is a fun and immersive Indie, Lovecraftian take on Slay The Spire, where you fight the monsters of the deep, and the beyond, and try to maintain your sanity as well!
Menace from the Deep is easily worth a wishlist and a watch.
