Necro King is an Indie, Real Time with Pause, Retro Tactical Roguelike with a Tile Based world map born of Pixel Graphics and Procedural Generation.
Stylistically, the battles in Necro King remind me a little bit of Loop Hero, with the retro pixel look and stark, black backgrounds, but here you have much more choices, with a ton more units, and are able to play your cards in battle, not merely before it!
And here, you are the Dread Necromancer, not some mere hero!

Retro Tactical Roguelike + Cards?
Yep.
You can set your draw deck before every battle, and it seems you can set what the first 3 cards will be by what you choose first, but you are still limited by the luck of the draw concerning what you can play each turn, so it is a card game.
In combat, every turn you gain 5 mana, and you use your mana and found souls to animate your bony army in battle, trying to defeat the other army and take over and completely loot the location, to get more bones and amass more power.

The World of Necro King:
The Tile Based world map is made with Procedural Generation, so we’re getting Random Maps here, as well as fog of war, so an exploration focus is present, encouraging you to wander around, cutting down the villages for bones and loot, and scouring graveyards for more cards and units; hit the graveyards necro mans!

Each map movement costs you 1 bone, representing wear and tear on your undead band I suppose, and you gain resources as you battle your way across the map; aiming to take over the castle.
There are interesting things to find, like hidden treasures, ghost merchants lurking the swamps selling you within run upgrades, as well as wandering heroes to slaughter, stuff like that.

Note: This is an Early look at Necro King so any bugs or other oddness is not representative of the final product.
Still, Necro King is an Indie, Real-Time with Pause, Retro Tactical Roguelike with a Tile Based world map born of Pixel Graphics and Procedural Generation, and is easily well worth a wishlist and a watch, especially if you like card games.
