A Walk on the Farm
5It's been a long time since I did a farm update so here's a brief walk at the Farm. Honestly it is as much nature preserve as farm, though I am going to have a lot more area under cultivation next season (I didn't have enough time to build and fill many raised beds before this season.) Even when I have it at its max production though, I am going to leave as much of the area natural as I can.
This year I did produce a ton of squash and cucumbers, got in some grain corn (the mice got some too,) and I have a small kitchen herb garden. I am growing tomato plants but they haven't gifted me with any little tomatoes yet. It was a weird season though, this was the year of the Texas Snopocalypse as well as late frosts that killed much of the first corn I planted.
