So... for those of you who don't already know, AAC's Daily Drive does actually support Virtual Player Count (as well as all other EX Options, I think)... but only if you run the game directly, and not via Steam (i.e. find the game directory and run the "cactus" executable yourself... if you run the game via Steam, VPC will be disabled for the Dailies, even if Steam is in Offline Mode)! =)

[A little extra info for anybody interested]

[Location note: If you don't know where the game directory is, you should be able to find it by right-clicking the game in Steam, selecting "Properties" then "Installed Files" then "Browse"]

[Save file note: Running the game directly uses a different Save File location, so if you want to use your Steam AAC save file (which you should be able to find at "Steam/userdata/(user#)/250110/remote" (or a similar location, depending on your OS or other factors)), just copy that save file (game0a.sav) into the "cactus_Data" subdirectory in your game directory]

[Gameplay note: Because you're not running the game through Steam, the game will look at your OS for date and time info... so you can actually choose any day you want simply by changing your OS's date and time! Also, the game will allow you to play the Dailies as many times as you want, instead of just once (the Offline Dailies use a different set of seeds, though, so they will be different from the Online Dailies)]

So... with 7/7 coming up (i.e. the day I created my first "Cavalcadence" account, so... basically my "Cavalcadence birthday" ^_^), I'd been thinking about once again trying for a 1P VPC4 Daily Drive Full Chain... =)

Alas, both last year and the year before, the 7/7 1P Daily had a boss battle in it (with a VPC4 amount of health, a Boss Battle will almost certainly mean losing your chain!)... so I ended up recording the 2P VPC4 Dailies instead.

But I figured, what are the odds that the 1P Daily would have a Boss Battle in it, on the same day, for three years in a row? =)

...

Umm, pretty good, I guess. ^^;;;

So... yeah, like last year and the year before, I ended up recording the 2P VPC4 Daily instead. Overall, this one was pretty fun... and though I definitely did have to make some strategy adjustments here and there and there (e.g. things can definitely go downhill very quickly on Layer 8 if you're not paying enough attention to where the laser turrets are and what color each one is!), eventually... this run happened. =)

So here it is, my third ever VPC4 2P Daily Drive Full Chain win! Hope you enjoy!

5:52 Didn't notice the blue turret dropping in time to head towards it... but did notice that Accelerate near the center... =)
- Waiting for it to turn into a Shutdown was a bit of a risk... but fortunately, it worked out. ^_^
- The safer play to deal with the turret probably would've been to follow the edge of the arena (counter-clockwise, like the blue lasers)... but I figured the Shutdown, though slightly riskier, would help deal with a lot of the other enemies quickly as well, so... ^^;
